众所周知，华人在马来西亚人口中占有相当的比例，经年累月地融合形成了独具特色的生活和语言习俗。Avi Spa吸取了当地“土生华人”生活的一些元素，将其融入设计中，形成了一种兼具中国传统和当地特色的清新典雅的风格，成功地被改造成一个天堂圣地般的酒店。设计者将关注的重点放在空间的实用性和灯光的特殊处理上，再配以华丽的家具和沉静的色彩，自然风光与室内的情调完美融合。
由“黄梢木”铺设而成的圆形甲板，成为一个风景如画的阳台，可以眺望无边无际的大海，就像一个平台漂浮在水面上。整个SPA共有7间套房，每间套房都进行了精心的设计，精致的壁画与SPA床上绿松色的丝织品相得益彰。每间套房都有面向水域的阳台、舒适的休闲区和宽大的浴缸，试想在如此轻松的环境中享受SPA是一件多么美妙无比的事情。Avi Spa绝对是马六甲海滨上一道美丽的风景线。
Avi Spa was successfully transformedinto a heavenly sanctuaryincorporating contemporary‘Peranakan’elements that exudes a holistic experience.The designers focused on practical spaceultilisation and the application of differentshades of lighting coupled with luxuriousfurnishing and tranquil coloured fabrics;harmonising with nature.
The picturesque frontage of an almostcircular timber deck made from‘YellowBalau’wood, stands floating on a waterfeature with an infinity edge surrounding.The sun deck gives the impression of aplatformsuspended on water.
The spa houses seven excellentlydesigned spa suites, floating verandas, salonand baths with unparallel panorama of thetranquil sea. Each spa suite is delicatelydesign and accesorised with‘Batik’muralsinturquoise to further infuse the‘Peranakan’heritage in to the interior.
Avi Spa is an extremely charming doublestorey floating pavilion standing at about6,250 square feet just above the shore of theStraits of Malacca.

LAI SIEWHONG
出生于马来西亚的怡保市，先后在马来西亚和美国就读，于1989年在纽约时装学院取得室内设计师执业资格，1991年回到马来西亚。回国后，在Axis设计顾问公司担任设计主管，并且在1996年成为该公司的合伙人。
